Shelburne Fire Department Reflective Address Sign Program:
The Shelburne Firefighter's Association has embarked on a program to improve the visibility of street addresses in Town as well as to raise funds to replace the Department's first infrared camera, used to improve our vision in smoky environments.
In this program, the Association is offering for sale reflective address signs, similar to those shown in the photos below.
Signs are available in two sizes (6"x18" and 4"x12"). The larger sign is available for $20 and the smaller for $10. The signs can be ordered in either a horizontal or vertical orientation and are green with white numbering. Posts are not included.
In an emergency, locating the address as soon as possible is the first step in saving lives and property. Time wasted searching for the proper address is something many 911-callers can't afford. Proper marking of a home street address is the responsibility of the homeowner but we, along with our emergency service partners in Shelburne Rescue and Shelburne Police, know that many homes in Town do not have their address clearly marked. Through this program, we hope to greatly improve the ability of all emergency service providers to quickly and accurately locate those that need help anytime, night or day.
The Association is accepting orders for the signs using the order form that can be downloaded below. We will not be accepting orders directly from the webpage as we'd prefer to not have to equip our web site to handle the financial transactions. The order form can be downloaded, printed, filled out and mailed or delivered to the address on the form.
Besides attempting to improve the visibility of street addresses within Shelburne, the purchase of one or more reflective signs under this program will benefit our community by helping to fund the replacement of our first infrared camera. The replacement camera costs approximately $12,000 (about half what the first one cost!). A grant from a local charitable organization has spotted the Camera Replacement Fund with it's first $3,000 but it's up to us to raise the rest.

Currently, the Shelburne Fire Department does not sell merchandise such as hats, t-shirts or jackets. We are considering this for the future, so check back periodically for an update.
Patch Trading:
The collecting and trading of Fire Department patches is a popular activity. The Shelburne Fire Department will trade a patch with other Fire Departments if a patch is sent to the address below.
While we are very proud of our Department logo, in fairness to our taxpayers the Shelburne Fire Department cannot honor requests for patches. Patches can be purchased for $7.50 by sending a check or money order (no cash please) to the address below:
